A shipping paper for hazardous materials can be a:
- shipping order;
- bill of lading;
- manifest; or
- other shipping document serving
a similar purpose which contains
the information required by
Part 172, Subpart C of the HMR.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) does require the use of Form 8700-22 and 8700-22A (when necessary) when shipping hazardous waste. It must include the shipping description required by the HMR.
