Introduction

It is critical for all hazmat employees to be able to successfully and accurately identify the various hazard classes defined in the HMR. By the end of this topic, you should be able to:

• recognize the hazard classes;
• identify the divisions within a hazard class; and  
• identify representative materials for each of the hazard classes.
